Brand Strategy and Positioning
The Brief
With clients across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, MDV is a London-based leadership and talent consultancy. By designing and delivering assessment methodologies and processes, they enable clients to get the right talent in the right roles, thereby reducing the well-documented costs of hiring the wrong people.
Having grown rapidly and built an enviable blue-chip client base, MDV now expands its client offering by collaborating with a range of skill development and assessment colleagues around the world who specialize in adult development (or vertical development).
Recently, I joined them as an Art Director and Digital Consultant with the aim of strengthening the brand strategy, positioning, and leading MDV into the digital age.
Solving a problem
MDV needed to increase its exposure and visibility for its coaching assets. A fine-tuning of MDV's branding strategy was also required to enable the brand to better support MDV's position as a leader in Coaching for Leadership enterprise.
The brand also needed a solid learning management system to share, build, and store all of its training assets, such as videos, online learning modules, homepages, and presentations.
The Solution
As part of my assistance to MDV, I had to start fresh and research and evaluate its current assets. I also had to analyze how they performed with MDV's target audience. In addition, I developed a coordinated design approach for strengthening weak spots in the brand's performance.
In addition to being mobile-optimized and visually engaging, all training materials needed to follow a consistent approach. As a result, I focused on systematically implementing style guides and design systems. As a result, MDV would be able to create and maintain a vast portfolio of assets and facilitate rapid development.
