Mars, Incorporated is an American multinational manufacturer of confectionery, pet food, and other food products and a provider of animal care services, with US$40 billion in annual sales in 2020. It was ranked as the 6th largest privately held company in the United States by Forbes.

The brief
The initial design brief from the client was to create a fully interactive illustrative interface depicting vector renders from different sectors of the organization, such as pet care, health, and industrial sectors. The users would move through a virtual journey map entering multiple "district" environments. While navigating through those districts, the users would be able to access all training materials, such as videos, podcasts, and homepages. All had to follow a consistent style and be able to track the progress of the users.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge I met while working on this project was that I had to work with a US-based team of experts, although, I'm based in the UK. This meant that I had to shift my working hours to meet the client's schedule and be able to attend meetings with the team of Graphic Designers and Developers involved. In addition, all user testing, and QA was taking place in the US although the target audience was global. Therefore, I had to adjust the analytics to accommodate European and Asian audiences too.
In this project, I was involved as an Art Director and Instructional Designer to facilitate the delivery of user-focused products to audiences in the US, Europe, and Asia.
